Well done cloughyclaret..nice that you name-checked him.

I very very nearly mentioned this a few days ago but I thought not many people would be that interested.(Marmalade was a rubbish name after all.)... I heard Paul Gambacinni play their biggest hit this morning on his show, you know.. the Beatles song - it might be the one you linked, not checked yet.

All these music performers are worth a mention I think.. another person who died on the same day as Dean Ford was Ray Sawyer of Dr Hook and the Medicine Show, the geezer with the eye patch. RIP

Reflections of My Life was one of my favourite songs from the Sixties
Dean Ford and Marmalade original version in 1969 and the much later version on the opening post are both superbly done.

I believe it was an anthem of the Vietnam soldiers. I dont know if thats true but listening to old and new versions it I can understand why, Dave.
I had no idea that Ray Sawyer had passed away. I bought the Dr Hook album for my dad so many years ago. He loved Sylvia's Mother.
