Ok so the city all stars 11 have beated a mainly Clarets reserves. How different could it have been had city been reduced to 10 when still 0-0.
Looked wild, ?reckless to me, shades of Kompany all over again

Yes. He rightly got booked for the tackle on Defour but the ref bottled it for his kick on the flag pole

We won’t see it in action again this season

No it looked like it was going to be worse than it ended up being as he pulled back.

Booking the right decision. Poor challenge. We would all be clutching if we tried to say that paved the way to our royal pummelling.

no chance it's even close to a red

Need to see it again, but there seemed to be two feet off the ground which is generally considered out of control and a red card offence.

This tackle aside, one thing that is annoying is when commentators say there was no intent.

Intent has no relevance as to whether a foul is a red card or not. It is purely how reckless it is deemed to be, regardless of whether a player intends to get the ball or not, rather than the man.

Notice the ref was quick to consult VAR when Taylor made a great tackle in penalty area.

Didnt see him do it for walkers tackle?

They barely broke into a jog as it was so I doubt it.

Because there was no need to. He got both decisions correct without the need for VAR

Yes, but only for a second yellow at some point in the game as I had over 4.5 goals, 15+ corners and 30+ booking points at 300/1.

They’d have comfortably beat us with 10 anyway

Sort of. Reckless is a yellow card, something else the commentators and pundits repeatedly get wrong.

If it goes beyond reckless it is deemed excessive force and then it' a red.

No. I'd call it a straight yellow, but nothing more.

We all should have walked. It was fine at the time - got wet through walking back to the car.
