Brady subbed at half time because of groin injury......that lad is having a bad run of injuries.

I'm just glad we have McNeil, because while McNeil is fit and ready, Brady won't be starting. Not unless SD wants him playing as the number 10, which isn't needed at the moment with Barnes-Wood.

Will Brady ever be able to start a run of games for us again? Or is he in the same camp as Defour and it's very unlikely?

A threadbare squad. Could be calamitous if it's what we go with for the rest of the season. A left back at right back and a number of players one tackle away from an extended break.

Brady is a waste of space. Can’t get him on the pitch.

We have one wide player who can play more than a handful of games in a row. McNeil. That's it.

This lightweight joker needs to be moved out asap, no where near good enough & offers absolutely nothing to the team the headless chicken.

He was dinamite just before his bad injury. Can't see him ever getting back to that standard sadly.

If Brady had proved to be a better than one good game in five player for us then I’d be worried about his latest injury.

As it is he isn’t, so I’m not.

He's not as good as McNeil, either. But I'd still like a fit backup for when/if McNeil has a niggle.

Brady looks to pull out of every 50/50...he isn't over that injury he got at Leicester last season,we may never see him fully fit again.

Sad to say but we've seen the best of both Defour and Brady.
I don't think either will again complete a full game
We definitely need a gritty fully fit 'Joey' type able to break up play in the middle of the park and distribute the ball error-free.
Maybe Gibson can fill that role when he gets niggle free and fully fit.

Except for Gibson being a centre back.

So a conversion may be needed.
Bet he'd relish the challenge.

I'd agree that we've seen the best of Brady and Defour. I'm sure they'll manage to string a full game at some point, but certainly not players we can rely on. No doubt worth their weight in Gold from what we've earned from them helping us to stay up, mind. Just players we need to be always on the look out to replace.

With Brady off injured again and Defour not looking very likely
I think we might need to get someone in.
It's asking a lot of the remaining squad to come up with the goods
especially if we have very limited resources on the bench.

Hope the crowd doesn't groan to much if McNeil has a bad game... He's only 19, it'll come - need to make sure he's supported if he's a confidence player as Dyche may have eluded to.

That's a stretch. To say that the squad is threadbare because we only have two out-and-out right backs? With the squad limited to 25 senior pros, plus under-21s, there will be few sides who have three Premier-standard players for every position.

Who are the players who are a tackle away from an extended break, and why?

Defour. Brady. JBG. The holy trinity keeping our physio team gainfully employed. There is barely a full season between the three of them. All 3 are like a tampon. In for a week, out for three.

Bardsley is "top of the league" with 6 yellows and so is 4 bookings away, Tarks and Lowton have 5 although CT has Tarks listed as 5 in the league and a total of 4 which is confusing if I have read his lists correctly. All this under Season stats on MB

Herts claret just answered your question. Supposedly the three most influential, forward thinking players in our squad and yet we're grateful at the moment just to see them getting some game time. Injury prone, niggle prone, call it what you want but we're not getting much mileage from them at the moment.

Not wishing to be wise after the event, but I was never in favour of buying Brady and said so on relevant threads back 2017 prior to him signing. Yes he's got the occasional good game in him but IMO too inconsistent. Taking out the injuries he's been involved in back to back relegations. Think we paid well over the odds for him and possibly the main reason why I'm against this January window.

Nothing like writing off a player before they even sign.
