According to SSN
But article also finishes with quote that Dyche does not want to lose anyone
So Vokes going nowhere either ?
VILLA INTERESTED IN GIBSON
Aston Villa have approached Burnley with an offer for defender Ben Gibson, according to Sky sources.
It’s thought the original deal would be a loan, but Villa want to include a clause to make the deal permanent in the summer.
Gibson cost Burnley £12m when he signed from Middlesbrough last summer, but the England international has played just once in the Premier League this season.
Sean Dyche has made it clear he doesn’t want to sell any member of his squad in this window.

by South West Claret.
I would suggest that Villa look elsewhere as they have zero chance of signing Gibson.

I can only hope that’s true.
We shall see...

Don't we have to have players sat on the sidelines for at least 2 years before we sell them? They are way too soon.

We operate a revolving door at centre-half. The player coming in is told to wait a year, get dyche fit and take their place in the team.
Tarky or Mee to go this summer and gibson to slot in.
Long gets paid as adequate cover under the preferred three.
Its a good system.

Mee is 29 now, i think his time for a big move has gone, plus they want defenders with good distribution.

Maybe they are looking to Dunne to come into the reckoning...

Seems sensible. Maybe we should make a thread called Burnley Discussion and put everything in there rather than the annoyance of separate discussions relevant to specific topics? Only if you agree, as the ruler of the board, that is?

Tarky is the more likely candidate for a big-money move,Liverpool you'd assume,so Gibson's chance will come next season.

the op topic had already been underway on another thread - this only dilutes the discussion- tis all

Tarky won’t get a move to a top six club, he’s simply not good enough.
Not having a go, I like him and he’s doing great for us, but his lack of pace and occasional bad decision will see the really big boys leave him be.

Not sure there would be that much interest in Tarks tbh. Plus Gibson and Mee are both massively left sided so not sure they'd work that well together really. Maybe happen in the summer if we think Jimmy Dunne is ready to be a squad player for us? Gibson is too good to be sitting on our bench.

These journos are pretty desperately poor.
"Only played one PL game". Any chance of his being injured for most of his time at TM impacting his playing time?
Sure he'd love to join a club that are 12 points adrift of second place in the Championship.

Is Jimmy Dunne naturally right or left footed?
