Midfielder Josh Benson joined the Clarets in July 2018 after ending a two-year scholarship with Arsenal.
The play-maker had been with the Gunners' Academy since under-nine level.
Benson impressed in training and in a handful of games for the Clarets' under-23s in the latter stages of the 2017/18 season to earn a professional deal at Turf Moor.

His dad Ron Benson was once called up to the England squad whilst playing for Plymouth Argyle at the age of 46.

Can't help being a little disappointed by this question from Claret 'fans'? He plays regularly for the under 23s, Mentioned in all team reports on this site and is a promising young player that has impressed. I've seen him play and he's good.

He played 98 minutes for the Under 23s yesterday afternoon and the last 38 minutes of that was in a team of 10 men.
I think that he will have been included to give him a feel of being part of the squad, I doubt that he will get on after yesterday's exploits but you never know. Good luck to him anyway and also to Dwight McNeil who is playing against the club who let him go.

Don't think knowing who plays for the 'reserves (Brady, Defour, Gibson, Pope have all done so this season) is an 'obsession'. I call it being an interested fan.

I get the u23 updates via Twitter but unless a player scores you don't regularly hear of all the players, I mainly get info about youngsters on here ! So I think the op raises a genuine question by asking who is he

Certainly not anything about being obsessed, some of us love to watch football at all levels and anywhere in the country.
