We were match choice on Sky Sports last night, which I watched. Both managers were asked about the penalty decisions but not about the offside.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the offside isn't even mentioned. All the focus will be on United's "incredible" comeback - no mention of how brilliant "little old Burnley" were.

I recorded the sky highlights package and having paused and rewound the offside many times I couldn’t swear he was off. Probably as level as Wood at Watford. We are the littlest club.

I shan't bother Whiffa. I watched the game on a foreign channel. Watching the last 30 minutes was exhausting and gutting. But what a game and what an atmosphere it sounded like even on TV. Even Pogba's post match interview was all about Utd not getting the result they expected, no credit to us whatsoever. It'll be all about an below par Utd and amazing comeback rather than a stupendous Burnley performance, marred by some poor officiating which we seem to be continually on the wrong end of. Roll on Saturday now, Dyche will be telling them we've effectively won our last 5, confidence will be high.

Just watching the Sky extended highlights. The Mee penelty incident looked inside the box. As iffy as the offside.

It's funny the amount of teams below par when lil ol' Burnley don't roll over for them and get a result!

The Mee incident started outside the box and was correct decision imo

On SSN this morning they talked, for what seemed like 20 minutes, about lukaku and rashfords heat maps last night. They showed both utd goals over again and guess what....... not a word about the clarets. Just like the match officials, only one team in it.

As mentioned above, it'll all be about United's shortcomings rather than praising us.

Ben Mees challenge was inside the box, maybe thats the reason the ref gave the soft one against Hendrick, their second goal was a more difficult one, Linderlof was offside when the ball was headed backwards towards him, but there you go, a brilliant point whatever.

The New incident was as much the striker bundling into Mee. FK Burnley!

If you see it again look at Bens feet. They are both a couple of foot outside the box. Even reaching back I don’t think contact would have been in the box.

Hmm. Possibly. Although he went down very easy. Had he not he was in a prime position to shoot. Harsh to blame Hendrick.

Put it one way - we wouldnt have got that pen!

No one can do that sort of thing and get away with it - especially in the penalty area I still say unnecessary by Hendrick.

If that challenge had been on Barnes half the Utd team would have surrounded him and the half would have surrounded the referee. Barnes would have been booked for simulation.
That’s the difference.

Having seen the penalty incident replayed a few times on MOTD and Sky I think it probably was a penalty, albeit a soft one.

While Lingaard obviously makes a meal of it as he goes down, Jeff did seem to pull him back a little and with a referee like Moss there was only going to be one outcome.

Would we have got the penalty awarded in identical circumstances in front of 70,00 baying home fans? I very much doubt it.

As other have commented though other than some acknowledgement from Shearer on MOTD, the focus has very much been on Man Yoos "fantastic comeback" rather than Burnley's battling performance against a very good and in form team.

However, the fact that Man Yoo have had to make such a "fantastic comeback" against Burnley and we're ultimately a bit disappointed at only coming away from Old Trafford with a point shows just how far we have come as a club and how much we have improved as a team since the Boxing Day debacle.

Probably a penalty in all honestly although soft. The problem is if players like Lingard and Alli get touched it’s nearly always going to be a penalty. Something I can’t stand. Wish referees would watch these two more closely. They are not the only culprits though. Also you can’t put any doubt in the referees mind at Old Trafford .
