I thought he came across really well....once again reiterated just how hard they have to train....far harder than stoke he was saying.

I thought he was constantly projecting subliminal disparaging messages about the football club, it's town and people.

I was surprised to see him on there but he did come across well, as himself and as a man who obviously still sees himself as part of the (broader) team who still respects/adheres to the Dyche ethos.

Hard to see someone offering him a contract this summer after he hasn't played for 2 years.

I wonder If we'll get anything from QPR for Wells in the summer. One year left on his contract, fans seem to think he's doing ok, on a dry spell currently but operating up top alone without much help.

Getting him and Walters off the wage bill should free up some space.

Walters was interesting when talking of McNeill. I had no idea he isn’t a left winger, not tending to follow the youth team in the past. Both Walters and Redknapp said he is a central midfielder.

Good to know that Alex Scott has a great understanding of what VAR will sort out. Apparently next season they would’ve sorted the corner out...err no Alex we won’t be checking corner decisions on VAR....

Watched it earlier and Jon did really well, painted himself and us in a very good light. It looks like a media career is in his future, although I doubt he is ready to hang up his boots just yet, if he still has an opportunity to keep on playing.

He said he’s been back on the grass for 2 weeks. I guess he meant running and not smoking.

Believe he stated that McNeil was naturally a more central player. Nice to see my predictions echoed by an insider.

I thought he did really well and it made a lovely change for us to have a Burnley man on the panel, when we are playing.

Always played on the left wing in the youth team but last season Michael Duff tended to play him in an advanced midfield role similar to how Hendrick played in the first team. Jon Walters will have played alongside him when he’s been playing in that position.

Earlier this season Steve Stone used him as a holding midfield player and he was the best player on the pitch. We sat there watching him that night and agreed that he needed to be moved up permanently to the first team squad.

Those who have worked with him and played alongside him will know which is his best position but what I know is that he’s a very good footballer in the making.
