As in, did you miss the thread? I don’t know - I haven’t seen one but feel free to do a search.CJW wrote:Is that a "yes" or a "no"?

Just concentrate on being a singist, you need to, Mr Neutral !!!

Re: Sam Smith, did I miss the thread?
I'm not bothered per se, I'm just clearly behind the times with this stuff and was hoping the kind and educated folks of forum would be able to enlighten me.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote:Why would you even be bothered about what he has said?
Hopefully one of them will be along shortly.

Re: Sam Smith, did I miss the thread?
He's a male who feels a bit feminine sometimes. That's pretty much it, been happening since forever. Seems fair enough to me, whatever terms he uses to describe it doesn't really affect me so what's the problem.
I think his music's s***e, mind.

So has he handed back his "best male solo" award?
Also where does that leave such future awards?

Re: Sam Smith, did I miss the thread?
Getting rid of separate male and female categories. It’s always a bit of a pointless split in areas where neither sec has a physical/mental advantage anyway.MACCA wrote:So has he handed back his "best male solo" award?

Re: Sam Smith, did I miss the thread?
Pretty sure he's still male. He'll have a set of XY chromosomes his whole life. Although I'm not sure the Brits awards panel go into such detail.MACCA wrote:So has he handed back his "best male solo" award?

I`m not a scientist, but I think he is a man.

Who are you to tell him who he is?chipbutty wrote:I`m not a scientist, but I think he is a man.
He can be whatever he wants to be, well that's what his mum said when he was 8.

Live and let live. Sam Smith isn't forcing being non-binary on to anyone else, so let him (her, them?) be.

Re: Sam Smith, did I miss the thread?
I assume you would have to describe someone who felt that way as an "it" otherwise they may get offended. As in he or she is a singer, of sorts.

What a load of rubbish, you’re either a man or a woman.

Re: Sam Smith, did I miss the thread?
They use the pronoun 'They or Them'.
I think the dialect of the Black Country uses the same as in 'Thems rubbish them is' referring to a rival team, or have we been misled?

He sang the last? Bond theme which was about “ ok” though unlike a singer who just happens to be gay, he’s a sensitive soul “ professional gayman” who happens to be a singer . Not unlike that other Uber sensitive little poppet Will “I’m gay you know ? “Young
Nowt up with gays but this gender fluid nonsense is beyond parody you’ve either got a c0ck or a vagina

Re: Sam Smith, did I miss the thread?
How does he know that he sometimes feels like a woman. He is a man (physically), he has always been a man. How does he know how it feels to be a woman that makes him so sure that he feels like one?

Once upon a time it would have been called being a mummy's boy.NottsClaret wrote:He's a male who feels a bit feminine sometimes. That's pretty much it, been happening since forever.

My Grandpa would have called him "a big girls blouse" but then again he called blokes "shirt lifters" if they used deodorant. Got rest his soul.Dazzler wrote:Once upon a time it would have been called being a mummy's boy.![]()

It might be trapped in the wrong body. But it said ‘felt like a woman sometimes’ and considered having a sex change. If changing sex makes someone happy cant see any problem with it but hadn’t you better make sure first that’s what you want. What happens in the times when you don’t feel that way ? I feel like a man today sh*t what I’ve done...TheFamilyCat wrote:How does he know that he sometimes feels like a woman. He is a man (physically), he has always been a man. Re: Sam Smith, did I miss the thread?
Think this is more about being on trend with the terminology and attention seeking. Miley Cyrus an attention seeker with dreadful music imo also announced she/ it was non binary. She probably just likes men and women but it sounds more risqué, controversial and modern to say you don’t identify with anything. When the whole word is in tandem with identifying as a tree or a fridge for the day they will soon get bored with it and think of something else.

Tell me, how many females wake up, look in the mirror (so far so good), and think 'looking good today, i''ll just give my beard a trim?'
even if one felt like a woman only one day a week the facial hair would be gone all seven.
