Likewise. I think the most surprising thing was we only won 1-0. Easily the better side and it should have been by more goals.Vino blanco wrote:One of my favourite days watching the Clarets.
Kyle Naughton as well.Steve1956 wrote:Fantastic day out, apart from a couple of hours waiting to get off the car park after the game, did Kyle Walker play for Sheffield Utd that day ?
Afternoon Macca. When tosspot got sent off, I actually thought the ref had awarded a penalty to them. It went from thinking they'd been awarded a penalty to take it to 1-1, to knowing they were down to 10 men.MACCA wrote:How Gudjonsson didn't score was more luck than judgement, although they had a case or 2 for a pen, but it was the day good old Mike Dean started his Burnley love affair.
Ps there's a 10 year anniversary night in James Hargreaves stand in May. Players from that season telling stories erg.
Should be a great night, and with them no longer playing presume they'll let their hair down a bit more, and might go further in depth to any funny tales they tell.
By the time we got off the car park I was dying for a slash, had to wait till we hitBirmingham before we stopped, never have I been in as much agony dying for a pisss!FactualFrank wrote:Kyle Naughton as well.
My dad went down on a coach with lads from the golf club and other Burnley fans. I remember him saying something like, "I could have got off the coach, gone to a bar, got ****** off my face and got back on before it had left the car park".

You're right. They were very predictable that season though. They lumped it long and Clark Carlisle headed it back out. They did that time and time again. We couldn't have picked a better opponent to play at Wembley.COBBLE wrote:The home game stands out in my memory as the best performance from out centre backs of that season. Best I ever saw from Clarke Carlisle.
Its on again at 9pm on Sky sports 3Vino blanco wrote:One hour programme showing our play off game starting on Sky Sports Football in five minutes.

Ouch! I don't know where abouts you were, but before the game we all went into a shop and got 8 cans and supped them outside on the grass - merrily watching their fans go past on the buses.
What a day, eh. People happily knock Owen Coyle, but fair play to getting us to Wembley. Best day as a Burnley fan for me.
Down the pan!ElectroClaret wrote:I often wonder how the club's future would have panned out had we not won that game.
I'm going to dig up your patio to check for any ex girlfriends.Bosscat wrote:Agreed a super day out as a Claret...

it's nothing to do with the fact he left. It's how he left and the timing of it.Quickenthetempo wrote:I'm going to dig up your patio to check for any ex girlfriends.
Jesus. People are allowed to leave their place of employment. Especially when wage rises are on offer.
Go on then.FactualFrank wrote:it's nothing to do with the fact he left. It's how he left and the timing of it.
Feel free I was thinking about re-arranging the patio anyway and getting you to dig it up saves me a jobQuickenthetempo wrote:I'm going to dig up your patio to check for any ex girlfriends.

Try quoting the correct poster would be a good start. I'm not angry in the least - I just understand why Bosscat doesn't like him.Quickenthetempo wrote:Go on then.
What did he do to keep you angry 9 years later?
I dig, you dig, we dig, she dig, he dig, they dig. Its not a beautiful poem, but its very deep.Bosscat wrote:Feel free I was thinking about re-arranging the patio anyway and getting you to dig it up saves me a job.
Nowt to do with him leaving .... just the way it was done.

In the tunnel after. He got sent off for having the most punchable face in English football. Jack Grealish now has the award.Bosscat wrote:Bloody hell I forgot that was it after the fi al whistle????
A sign of the times Im afraid. Kids no longer have any respect for adults and think they can act the goat without any comeback. Hopefully the incident gave them young Burnley fans a good wake up callbfc-sparta wrote:I was on a coach with alot of kids aged 10 and under. As we were driving away from Wembley a group of fat bald middle aged shef united fans attacked the coach, 1 of them opened the back door of coach and got a boot to his face. When police came and calmed things down the excuse the fat baldy used was that the kids were singing and laughing through the windows at them.
Depends on their upbringing. Rubbish parents often results in children with a rubbish attitude.Devils_Advocate wrote:A sign of the times Im afraid.
