Well I've run horse racing nap leagues for years and most of them have proved pretty successful so I thought that I would have a go at a golf one but have never tried it before so it will be either a great success or a disaster.

So here goes.

Made up some rules totally off the top of my head and they will hopefully work.

The Masters starts in Augusta, America on Thursday but there is obviously a time difference to us in the UK.

It is due to finish on Sunday night UK time.

There are four rounds of golf, one on each day depending on the weather.

After the second day the bottom half or so of the field will be eliminated and go home.

You need to pick six players from the whole field before the first tee off on Thursday.

Each day if one of your selections is finishing in the following places your will earn the corresponding points:

1st - 30 points
2nd - 25 points
3rd - 20 points
4th - 15 points
5th - 10 points
6th - 5 points

Your score will roll over each day. If players in the Masters are tied their points will all be counted.

I will post a league table on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings and then a final one as soon as the tournament finishes probably in the early hours of Monday.

If I haven't explained the above very well please ask any questions.

I am away at Lords watching cricket on Thursday so will miss much of the golf but will get a league together if anybody enters.
