Need a win for my dad.

I really need a win today for my dads memory. He passed away yesterday peacefully in his sleep aged 96 and was a life long Burnley supporter. As I've said before he was foreman at a bakery in Barlick after the war who made the pies for Burnley, apparently they were the best pies in the world and the boss of the bakery would only use the best meat without fat or gristle, he said he even sent meat back to the suppliers if it wasn't up to his standards.
He used to deliver the pies personally and the club would let him stay and watch the match free of charge (how times have changed)

We moved to the Isle of Man in 1955 but the highlight for him (and me) was in the early 60's when he took me as very young boy to Turf Moor one summer and harry Potts himself shown us around the ground.

I’m also an attendee with my Father. I hope Pa Beamish lives as long as your dad, as I’ll have a while with him yet on the matches.

UTC! Here’s for a win for your old man.

Thanks for all the kind messages. Yes I was lucky to have had him for so long and have many happy memories :) Maybe you can pass it on to Sean and the team, give them that extra bit of incentive :)

Sorry for your loss. My elderly Dad can’t go on really these days but used to take me as a youngster and I always take the same walk to the ground( sometimes with my son) and think back. Cherished memories.
