postponed all the fixtures in the Dutch top flight to allow Ajax more preparation time for their game against Spurs, about time the PL did the same to help our teams in Europe

This board would go into meltdown if the Premier League cancelled and moved one of our games at such short notice to help teams like Liverpool or Spurs

I'm all for English sides doing well in Europe but dealing with your fixture schedule is one part you have to deal with.

I dont see why other teams should look to accommodate them. They all have much more money to carry larger squads of better players to try and be successful in multiple competitions.

Small clubd give their players to Ajax to allow them to train at their facilities knowing they have more chance of a bigger fee. At each level from 4 yrs up they have over 400 kids.

don't know anything about that but it's irrelevant to the Dutch league trying to help them get through against Spurs

I'm fuming. I'm in Eindhoven next weekend to celebrate the Kings Day and then hd tickets for the PSV/Heracles match on the Sunday.

Shouldn't be allowed under EUEFA rules!

I think it was more to do with needing at least two clear days between games and their league having rules of the last two entire fixture lists being played at the same time. The premier league has that rule for the last set of fixtures.

I heard somewhere that Ajax’s budget for the first team squad, reserves and youth team is €28m. That’s the same as Gareth Bale earns in 12 months.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I find that statistic very impressive, given they are semi-finalists in The Champions League.
