Come on Burnley - this is painful

I got criticised after being bored by our 11 man defence against Chelsea but surely, at home, safe from relegation we could have had a go. Once again SD sets us up to play that negative uninspiring non-football.
We were in front of the telly cameras and had a chance to answer our critics, but once again we play ultra ultra defensive for the whole 90 minutes.
I'm not expecting us to go gung-ho because City would pick us apart, but which Claret fan can have enjoyed that today - at one time we had TEN players in our penalty area. Seriously, can someone tell me why they'd watch that again ?
I'm sorry but if that's what it takes when we play the bigger teams, then so be it. But let's not pretend it's football. Money, and results, can't justify that surely.

On the off chance you're serious, yes I enjoyed our superbly disciplined defensive performance.
No credit from you for that though.

Absolutely pathetic whether it's a wind-up or serious.

I agree it wasnt the best of spectacles but city are some team and the lads gave it their all. Look at the blocks on the line absolutely superb. Really proud of SD and the lads

Haha yeah I hate it when we make the big teams work for the points and are still in with a chance of a point right until the end. I'll cry myself to sleep tonight after typing up my Dyche out letter.

I don't know the OP's previous posts or his general attitude trait but I think he has a point. I get it that we're playing against a team of demi-gods that we will never see the likes of grace a Burnley shirt but surely when we had the ball we could've been a bit bolder in striving to find a team mate to pass to. We are capable of it and in fact proved that when we went 1-0 down. The period that then followed was our best period of play in the whole game.
I think just kicking the ball straight back to City was counter productive in that it immediately put the pressure back on us. As the OP said we had nothing to lose by trying to be a wee bit braver when with the ball.
Great defending though when we didn't have the ball.

Poor wind up.
About as effective as his side's goal attempts the season, if he is an 'Udders fan.
