Players playing for rival teams

I’m off work this week and currently watching Premier League Years 1995/96 - the “I will luv it” season when Newcastle & Manchester United were battling out
Seeing Andy Cole scoring made me realise that he played for 3 sets of rival teams
Manchester United & Manchester City
Newcastle United & Sunderland
Burnley & Blackburn Rovers
Has any other player crossed the divide as many or even more times than that?

Both only with one set of rivals
Andy Cole played for both teams for 3 sets of rivals. That’s what I’m looking for

In response to the OP, I don't think we'll find anyone who has crossed the divide more than Andy Cole.
Managerially, Steve Bruce has crossed the divide twice: 1) Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday; 2) Birmingham City and Aston Villa.
Cloughy crossed the divide from Derby to Forest. He must be the only manager to be revered equally by rival sets of supporters.

There must be a few lower league journeymen. Although the rivalries aren't that big,
Tony Ellis
Preston - Blackpool
Oldham - Rochdale
Bury - Stockport
Stockport's wikipedia:
"For more historical reasons, County supporters named their main rivalries to be more distant neighbours Burnley and Stoke City, however neither club really reciprocate."

I agree there's rivalry but it's not the primary rivalry for either club. Can each West Midlands club have 3 rivals in this game?

The OP didn't specify primary rivalry. Just spoke of `rival teams'.

I was thinking traditional rivals as in local derbies so would be Villa/Birmingham, WBA/Wolves

As David Eyres played for Morecambe, Southport, Blackpool, Burnley, Preston, and Oldham, he could be set to have played for 30 combinations of Lancashire rivals! (Or if you add Mossley, 42 - the answer to everything!!)
