So if we play Stoke in the league cup, will it set a record for players who have played for both teams?

Good luck Wardy. The best proper left back since Alex Elder.

I don't believe we have any ex-Stoke players in our 1st XI any longer. Can't even think of 1 who would be in the 25 next season

Burnley and Stoke do seem to have a lot of players who have played for both. Ade Akinbiyi, Gifton noel-williams, Andy Cooke, Phil Bardsley, Peter crouch, Jimmy Mac just off the top of my head.

I was delighted when we signed him, at the time I rated him so highly for Wolves I expected him to be out of our pond. He has been a pleasure to watch him in a Burnley shirt and I wish him nothing but the best at Stoke.

Agree that Wardy has been superb for us. Hopefully he'll continue to do well at Stoke. Good luck to the young man.

Evidently not you Murger,i try not to recall his 'contribution' brings back nightmares,we paid a fair wedge as well for us at that time, over a million anyway.
Just googling his stats and i found out he's the younger brother of Carl Cort and the older half-brother of Ruben Loftus-Cheek,its a small world as they say.

I knew he and Carl were brothers, but had no idea re Loftus Cheek. Wow

At first sight a bad move for us. He was a really consistent player.
Now if we had a replacement.
Also Gibson being allowed to leave .
We had a good defence with good options, we are letting the options go and no replacements.
Not a good start for me.
