Rumoured to be Sheffield United. Leeds getting rid because of attitude issues.

Wasn’t great last season and is only getting older. His real value now is in his leadership and endearment with the support.

He was one of their best players last season and one of the best defenders in the Championship. Also a very good passer of the ball.

I think he made the league team of the year, and only mid 20s

Pontus Jansson in the Championship 2018/19...

- Games: 39

- Interceptions per game: 2.3 (3rd best in the league)

- Clearances per game: 4.2 (the most for Leeds)

- Passing accuracy: 86%

If it is Sheff U then it demonstrates they’ll be sticking with their 3 centre half formation, stockpiling back-ups.

Didn’t deserve TOTY in my opinion but wow, you are right about his age. I was seriously under the impression he was 30+, fair play. Still got some room to improve.

Jansson is average at best. Thinks he's a lot better than he actually is and Jagielka is a far better defender - no matter how old he is.

Brentford are heavy odds on favourites to sign him with Sky Bet.

A part of me wants Brentford to do well with the players they have sold us.

And their obvious expertise at scouting for their level is to be admired too!

I think it was a surprise to most Leeds fans that he was in the team of the year.

Strikes me as a Bikey type - has the ability but only shows up now and then.

Lancs Tele : "David Raya bids a fond farewell to Ewood Park..."

Translation : get me out of this sh1t-pit. :P

Now that is a big loss for Rovers. One of their better performers. The heart just bleeds, doesn’t it?

In that farcical game against Villa ( I think ), Jansson was the one who defied orders from Bielsa to let them score and tried to tackle the centre forward on the edge of the box.

I know... I tried to edit it before you realised. The odds were in my favour, even had I waited 12 weeks. :)

Id imagine Brentford must have a lucrative sale in the pipeline.Thats a big expensive signing by their standards.

More to the point, that’s a signing that signals Brentford want to compete on a higher plane. Surprising to see them make a high profile move as opposed to just bringing in a bloke from the lower leagues who they’d eventually turn an enormous profit on, before starting again.
