Just goes to show how far we’re coming off the pitch though and the figures we can now get for sponsorships etc ..
Some surprising ones we’re above in the list even though the sponsor is huge and also mad how many gambling firms there are.

Goes to prove the huge sums of money we’re dealing with. Which is why I find it very naive when some people suggested we took the moral high ground and put Pendleside Hospice on our shirts. Sure, that would be a nice thing to do but not many businesses can afford to turn down £7.5m p/a.

Great news. Delighted to have Lovebet as sponsors. Long may the lolly keep rolling in.

It's obviously very, very unlikely that the details of all of these deals are in the public domain. I'd take this with a hefty pinch of salt.

£4.5m more than Norwich are getting from Dafabet. If we were getting similar from them that is an amount we can’t say no to.
I’m treating LaBa360 and Lovebet as the same company. After reading, on here, that they are connected.

Taking the fee out of the equation, which one of those sponsors from that list would you prefer to see on a Burnley shirt?
The only British one is Standard Chartered and it’s the cleanest logo of the lot, so I’d go with that one.

There is absolutely no chance we are getting nearly double than Leicester.

How on earth would they know what we are getting, likewise with other clubs?
I suspect those figures are guesswork as I can't imagine Mike Garlick divulging our sponsorship deals.
The same goes for most other clubs.

Serious question though. Does anyone actually buy from the sponsors on the football clubs shirts. I dont think I have ever bought from any of the sponsors

Well done for achieving that!
Decent funding.
We have to bear in mind that some owners are the sponsors, too, albeit arms length. The amounts may change to suit the need. Hence, why Leicester appears low.

Of course there is.
Half the reason of the massive increased TV rights money in the PL is due to the increasing subscriptions in the Asian Market & especially Chinese market
If love bet are a big player over there, then they'll pay top, top dollar to get on any PL teams shirt.

It's possible that the sponsoring companies have given details, either voluntarily or because legislation says they have to.

Neither have I but the advertising isn't really aimed at our fans, it's to reach the worldwide TV audience of the Premier League.

Shutting our eyes and enjoying listening to the jingling of coins coming in from the Far East is something this country has got far too used to in recent years, whether it be funding coming in from dodgy governments with strings attached or in this case gambling money coming from organisations who get it from customers, many of whom will obviously be addicts (hence why I see it as morally bankrupt).
As regards BFC we now liberally sprinkle gambling encouragement over Twitter on official feeds (e.g. our other main sponsor), with no way of hiding it (even from kids) if they want to still see breaking news. Where will it end? It ruins lives, but it’s OK because we might finish a spot or two higher up the table with that extra few million.
So no, I see what the OP is writing about, but I see it as the thin end of a very long wedge.

Personally I wouldn’t want a gambling sponsor but with a lot of fans saying we need to make the most out of every avenue available then this is one of them unfortunately.
I liked having more local sponsors on our shirt and as you say, the more we rely on these sort of things coming into the club the more it will slowly lose touch of what we fell in love with to keep up with the Jones’ (not David). As the saying goes though, you have to pay the piper if you want to dance.

Just a thought but is nobody in the least bit concerned that 50% of PL sponsors are gambling firms? Gambling can and does cause misery to hundreds of thousands of people and families so is it wise that we should be promoting it this way (I mean 'we' generically not specifically Burnley). Cigarette advertising was banned because of the damage it causes but gambling seems to go untouched. I don't have a problem with gambling per se, it's a free world and people can do as they like, but should we be actively promoting it in this way? I'm not so sure.

Pointless to go against the tide and deprive ourselves of 7.5m unless they legislate against it. That is pretty much the status quo

I was surprised to see us fairly high up on the table. However, it does say:
These deals above are main shirt deals only and do not include sleeves sponsors (Burnley and Sheffield United aside)...
Even taking that into account, it looks like we've got a decent deal there.

I think the reason there have recently been so many gambling firms sponsoring shirts etc is that the industry suspects it will be banned in the not to distant future, and are getting in while they still can.

It's more that they throw far more money at it than anyone else, usually the Far East companies.

I won’t be buying shirts any more until the club move away from promoting gambling with sponsors like Lovebet.
The club must have had other sponsors-it could have chosen from.

Kind of.
They throw the money at the mid/lower tier teams in the division where I guess they think they get the most bang for their buck.
None of the biggest teams have gambling sponsors.

But in all likelihood, none who could offer a serious amount of money. That's the issue for a smaller club like ours.

The top clubs don't because they can get big deals without using them.
I'm not convinced of those numbers above but, even if no accurate, it shows just how much more the big clubs can attract without using the tacky far east gambling market.

Not as good as they have, advertising to a billion people a week for a measly £7.5m.
They only love it when we play the big 6. They couldn't give a toss about our club.

Betting is also banned in China - the companies are based offshore and the gambling is online to get around the ban
