His winning mentality served us very well and probably pushed ilus to be champions.

He has a place in our history....which he earned.

It's difficult to overstate just how influential Joey was in his time at Turf Moor. He played a massive part in us winning the title in '15/'16 and I'm certain Dyche will be forever grateful for his contribution to our success.

Integral part of a title winning Burnley side. Like him or loathe him he's part of our history.

I remember when he joined us he said that he hadn't come just to help us get promoted he was here to help get us top position

About 5000000000000000/1

Dyche has a bit more about him than a being a knuckle dragging thug.

I think he's looking back on his playing days with that statement,he left for Rangers and it was a mistake,he realised and returned to us.

It was only a joke in response to the Royal Dyche's knuckle dragging post

Have heard a few stories about his training ground antics along with his pal Clint Hill whilst he has been at Fleetwood....

Great for us but is proving himself to be a pr1ck again elsewhere.....Dyche really did have an unbelievable positive effect on him

Not a fan when he joined but WOW what a contribution he played for us, and maintained his discipline. He added steel in front of the back four, and what we would give for someone like him now. Took a knowledgeable footballing friend to the Turf when we were getting promoted and he could not believe the influence he had on the team and the game. One of our shrewdest ever signings

Still can’t understand what happened at Rangers.

Showed nothing like the quality he showed before and after at Burnley.

Quite simply superb for us.

A pleasure to watch in our midfield. I know TH was our captain, but JB was a leader of men out in the middle of the park where it’s needed.

His influence on the team was staggering.

never bothered me that he was a flawed character, there'll be loads of players in each division we probably would detest if we knew them well.

on the pitch for us he was brilliant, exactly what we needed, totally committed, fought for every ball and made sure those alongside him did the same.

wish we still had him.

Really impressed with his attitude with the younger players, talked to them continually through the game and got them thinking about positioning and anticipation.

I'll never forget his performance against Karanka's Boro after we went behind in that crucial top of the table clash.

He simply drove us on to rescue a point against a side who never conceded. He was everywhere, popping up at right back, up front and back in midfield.

Somehow Dyche got the absolute best out of him and he's not lived up to the high standards he set himself here since he left.

Excellent that night. Don’t think he was fit either. Sure he went off injured the game before.

It's surprising how he has survived that, maybe they are awaiting the outcome of the case before they sack him .

On the pitch he was on a different level in his first spell and absolute key to us winning the league that year.

Apart from his first two games second time round he was a weak link and just wasn't good enough for the top league

Yep. And he got clattered early on and Leadbitter shoukd have gone
Strange one Joey. Almost immaculate with us. Suffered great provocation and apart from the Lincoln game just got on with it. Then he goes and .... well whatever he did to the Barnsley manager.

Absolutely loved him playing for us and as stated above wish we had one if his calibre now in midfield.

Massive respect between the two as there should be

Lots of love in I reckon

Yes absolutely outstanding that night. Won every 50/50 and it was though he was the tallest player on the pitch with the amount he won in the air.

Loved Joey playing for us. Was unbelievable at times. That goal at Preston for me was the best... massive deflection blah blah blah.... went wild when it went in. One of my favourite clarets. If he gets convicted of ABH, with his record he'll do well to avoid jail.

Probably told them he was in charge....and he wasn't.

When you try to dismiss Scott Briwn, before a Glasgow derby, you are in trouble.

With what happened at Rangers etc, it is clear that to have an influence with Joey you need the types of characters we had at Burnley. They all just jelled which is why we won the league.

How many times do we hear about the character of our players which is one of Dyche’s biggest factors when bringing players in. It also shows that for everyone moaning about signings and not getting them in quickly etc it is imperative that we research them thoroughly to mitigate, as far as possible, the chance of bringing a bad apple in.

You can mitigate all you like with Barton, but it was undoubtedly a huge risk signing him. I was against it at the time and I bet quite a few others were too.

For whatever reason - Dyche's man management, the make up of the squad, luck, a combination of all the above - it paid off big time. Some of his performances in the promotion season were unreal. A real 'x factor' signing, the type you need to get out of the Championship. His performances at Rangers (and elsewhere) show just how easily things could have gone the other way. Full credit to the management (again).

I still can't believe he didnt react when targeted by much of our opposition during his time at the turf.

I seem to remember a few occasions where the opposition would kick him up in the air, at which point he'd roll around on the floor until the ref booked said offender. As soon as the card was brandished, he'd jump to his feet and jog off, giving a 'you'll get sent off before I do' wink to the player who'd just chopped him in half.

Fantastic pantomime, brilliant to watch and even better considering Barton's temperament.

Also cant forget the way he got under the skin of the Brighton fans during the "Justice" game :D
