Top ten?

I’m generally not interested in gambling, but from time to time I’ll have a bet on football if I have a good feeling about it. The last time I bet was when I put £50 on at 16-1 for us to win the 2016 championship. Today I’ve put £30 on at 7-1 for us to finish in the top ten. Was hoping for better odds but still a reasonable punt as I think we’ll surprise a few people this season.

Good luck! :D

I don't bet with Burnley, I bet against them as a backup bet and hope I lose my cash.

I managed 8-1 a couple of weeks ago and put a tenner on.

I admire your optimism, and hope you're right, means you'll collect a nice windfall, and the Clarets will have had a good season,we'll need the rub of the green regarding injuries etc,but as 2 seasons ago showed,we can compete in this league.

You did blooming well to get 16-1 on us topping the Champ in 2016,the best odds i recall where about 7/8-1.

Outwith the top six,and even they're questionable this season, there's very little between the middling clubs, our post-Xmas form last year would certainly over the course of a full season ensure a top 10 slot comfortably.

I got 16-1 after the first 3 or 4 games when we’d only got a few points but had just signed Barton.

I also enquired today about the odds on Utd not finishing in the top six but was told 3-1 so didn’t bother with that one.

I'm very tempted to put money on 20 goals for Wood.

I had a dream last night that we won 4-1 so just backed it at 66-1 boosted to 81-1.

15+ is massive for a player like him, purely because he plays for us and we don't create chances like the best teams.

He'd have to play every game for that and I dont think he will.
With our options I think we'll mix the forwards around a lot more.
I think they'll all have good seasons, if they stay injury free.

I would hold all season long bets until after those first 4 tough opening games. Very good chance we will be a fair bit bigger price after our tough start.

Barring the first half of last season when everybody was pants, his strike rate is very decent. We scored plenty in the second half of last season. Like it's been said above though, it's whether he can get enough game time for 20 goals.

Jay rod and Barnes sure to bag a few between them. Doubt very much that wood will bag 20 goals. I think 12 would be a decent return personally.

Can;t see Wood getting near 20 tbh, as has been said no matter how well he plays we don't create that level of chances plus with the return of JayRod don't think he's guaranteed the same amount of minutes he got last term.

That being said, wonder what the chances are of our three front-line strikers all reaching double-figures as Wood and Barnes have definitely proven they are in the 10+ class.

I love your optimism. He aint getting 20 though. Anything over 15 is brilliant.

i got 350 - 1 last year after Everton game -for top ten finish - obviously didn't win bet ...but was excited at one stage - I think you may get better odds after first 4 games when we will probably only have 3 or 4 points.

Any odds around for Wood being offside 50 or more times?

When I saw the thread title and the poster, I assumed it was about the top ten solo goals the club featured recently. The winner was Hoskin's goal at Swansea.
