Not one of them could be blamed on Heaton.

Thought Pope had a decent game but not too much to do.

Both great keepers

Today Pope looked like he'd never been away from the first team,we have no worries with him in our goal.

Love Tom hope he does well but honestly who cares?he doesn’t play for us anymore we move on. If I did care though I would say something like Spurs, away - Southampton at home and was Heaton at fault for any of the goals?

Spurs battered Villa today but it was only 3-1. Heaton saved them from more goals.
Pope got a cleansheet.

They are both winners!... :P

Pope got me 7pts in FF team

Heaton would only have been 2

Heaton beat spurs last season... first time we had in about 10 years.

Popey got battered 3-0 back in 17/18

...as if that even means anything anyway!

Pope looked a bit unsure a couple of times today. Heatons shoes will be difficult to fill but hopefully the clean sheet will give him confidence and the understanding with the defence will grow.
Incidentally, one of my pet hates is someone asking people to "discuss ".

Tom was a great goalkeeper for us.

Nick could very well end up being even better.

We have kept the best keeper and potentially the best english keeper the country has seen for a while.
All the best to Tom who has been very unlucky being in the same squad as Pope.

Not really about Heaton for me. What matters most is that a top 6 side have hoovered up 3 points from one of “the rest”. The more often this happens, the better our chances of finishing higher up the league.

I think it's all very straightforward why we sold Heaton to be fair. We do have to hope for a bit of luck that Pope can play the league games, but other than that, it was all sound business sense.

I'll give you a few extra points as I'm feeling generous.

I thought Tom looked a second slow and a lot too short.

Heaton made at least 2 , maybe 3 very, very good saves.
Pope was relatively un tested.

I'm happy if that continues throughout the season..

We (- and therefore Pope) - had the easier game of the two - we capitalised on it.

Only saw the last 30 minutes of the Spurs game - based on that I'd say Tom kept us above them in the table.

Pope made a superb save, tipping a Redmond shot over the bar.

He did. And I don't think many Burnley fans will bother, if he plays every game. He's the best keeper.

Pope's big weakness two seasons ago was his kicking. Looked a lot better today.

Felt weird watching him line up for Villa. Best keeper I've seen playing for us. Made a few decent saves yesterday. But, we're not really comparing like with like here. Pope faced a toothless Sarfhampton, Tom faced Spurs.

I personally don't give a flying fuk about Heaton, he is history. Nick Pope is our man. Nick has proved that he is has good or if not better than Heaton.

It can't be to difficult being a Burnley keeper anyway when you have Mee and Tarkowski in front of you

It was a super save, made easier by his height.
Had my heart in my mouth when he flattened Ben Mee. Both arms over Mee's shoulder. Phew!

We have clearly kept our best keeper! We wouldn’t of sold heaton if Dyche thought he was our best one

Come on, Heaton away to Spurs compared to Pope at home to Saints. Who’s going to face the most shots?

Pope made a world class save against Redmond today. Heaton made a couple also. There’s not much else to discuss pal.

I think Pope's kicking out has improved. He was a bit slow out to a couple and both CB's let him.know sbout it.
