Having taken up a plant based diet to help extend my cricket career I was disappointed yesterday by the lack of vegan options on The Turf yesterday.
Come on Burnley Its 2019

My only annoyance of the match day experience yesterday was the hand dryer in the Jimmy Mac upper being slightly too hot and not at optimum temperature.

I hate the ‘man of the match’ award, what if the player doesn’t identify as a man?

I had a minor gripe also yesterday.... after a few trips to the turf to sort our seats our in the new section of the CFS. I was told by the steward that my seat doesn't exist and to sit anywhere. Bizarre, but there were a few getting told the same.

I joined an online dating site yesterday. Instead of asking me for my sex it asked me what gender i 'identify' with. Is this the way the world is going?

You should've selected 'any' and kept your options open.

It’s a pretty simple question to answer. I guess you are not sure?

I can’t imagine the average league cricket tea has moved on from pork pies, cheese butties and sausage rolls.

Every evening, around the same time, I switch over to a vegan diet. For supper I have a Camberwell carrot and some fermented Barley water.

Im highlighting the fact we are no longer asked for our sex, but instead our 'identification'. But I think you know that really.

I was expecting at least two gender neutral signings and for the teams to skip out.
Burnley is so backward, we had the chance to make a real stand and played safe

A classic, but people forget how often food is a talking point. We eat 3 times a day so if you're with someone it's bound to come up.

My minor gripe, and apologies if it's already been posted, but why are the Beeb showing us as 4th in the table? I accept that we are listed 4th for alphabetical reasons but we should have 3= next to our name.
I've only just talked myself down from sending my season ticket back because we fielded 2 left sided centre halves...and now I'm gonna have to withhold my licence fee.

I believe the football league are using disciplinary record to separate teams with equal goals and points this season. I’m guessing that isn’t the case in the PL as Brighton had a player cautioned.

Just checked and in the PL after GD, goals scoreD and head to head record, the position is determined by the number of away goals. So Brighton are rightfully above us.

Have you got a link for that Rileybobs? The article I read suggested that away goals were only relevant in the context of the head to head results, which is obvz not relevant at this stage.

Right you are. I misread that. So you are right that we should be shown as equal third until the season finishes at which point there would be a play off if everything remained equal.

They reckon about 1% of the population is vegan. Even if the number of vegans is proportionately represented in a Burnley football crowd, which I doubt, that leaves about 200 vegans in the crowd - 50 in each stand. And what proportion of supporters buy food? 20%? That would be 10 per stand. How many vegan options would you expect those 10 people to share?

It's that kind of attitude, a slavish deference to the alphabet, that could see us missing out on a Champions League place my friend!

Ok a minor gripe but it wasnt minor on Saturday when myself and hundreds of others were getting soaked.
The turnstiles should have opened at 1.45 .however the Longside upper did not open umtil approx 2-15, lower about 2-10. When I questioned one of the jobsworth supervisors she said they had a staff shortage as several turnstile operators had not turned up for work.
They had about 6 lower turnstiles open but no upper....they cud easily have closed a couple of the lower turnstiles and moved the guys to open a couple of the upper ones if they had used a bit of common sense!!!
What made it worse was the rain was like a monsoon with very few places to shelter.
Anyway.the 3-0 win made up for the soaking lol .
