La Marina, Spain

Here on holiday, was taking a wander earlier and noticed a claret and blue union jack with a Burnley badge flying high at a house near Hillside waterpark. Bit of a long shot but wondered if the house belonged to anybody who frequented this message board?

It's my parents house - they moved over there over 10 years ago and dad has continued to be a Claret and fly the flag. If you are still there pop in for a brew / beer. I've told him about your post.

Let me assure you tim noone I am not a nutter,my comment was for the original poster.I did not think there would be some keyboard warrior trolling in the background, putting the comment on A Nutter for a laugh.I would suggest you find something better to do with your life.

Why would you say something like that to a new member who is showing kindness to a fellow Claret?

Let me assure you...as the post mentioned Barlick and A."Andy" Nutter is from Barlick I assumed it might have been him as he's a lifelong Burnley fan.....I'll put the question mark down next time. Your assumptions also a little wide of the mark.

Good recovery Tim ;)

I worked with a Paul Nutter who used to be at Rolls Royce back in the day ... probably related, although there are a lot of Nutters* in the Barlick area...

Alice Nutter was one of the Pendle witches

* excuse the pun

Very kind offer, Sir. I may well do so should time and itinerary permit. If not this time then maybe next time as we will be back....

Very chilled place, here. We're having a great time.

What a lovely place to live.
When you first see the coastline at La Marina when driving down from Alicante it can take your breath away, such is the sheer beauty.

Will be driving past La Marina in a couple of weeks time. (That is so long as Spanish Ryanair keep flying)

Welcome to the forum Topopole nome.

La Marina is very handy for Alicante Airport and Ryanair do an excellent service from all 3 of our local airports.
Just booked to go one way for £35.00 a week Monday, this includes a 10 kilo walk on.

Alicante is a lovely city and well worth a visit or a couple of nights stop over. I personally am not to impressed with the areas south of Alicante, I much prefer the NORTH and often visit the Jalon and Orba valleys and the lovely coastal towns of Denia Javea and Calpe to name a few.
The northern Costa Blanca is mountainous and great for walking and cycling, were the South is flat

Hi Top Claret, do you think Ryanair will be flying on the 10 days of strikes in September??

I notice your date is one of the advertised strike days.
I am supposed to fly on a strike day also. My flight is operated from spain so a bit worried.

I was in Montecinos, just to the south west of Torrevieja, for a walking football tournament the last couple of years. Very 'English expat' sort of place :)

Totally agree. You missed Moraira, Oliva & Playa Gandia. Thought Javea was lovely in the 80s and 90s but the last time I was there it was horrible.

I can't name every place. Javea old town and the port are lovely places but the arsenal is not. To much development and to many Brits
