Keane has displayed his lack of class and/or loyalty for the sake of his own inflated ego throughout his career. From kissing the Forest badge and swearing loyalty to Notts a couple of days before kissing the united badge following the move... until today.

Vile individual.

What a nasty piece of work Keane is?
Has he ever enjoyed life?

What an arsehole. Seems to be completely unprovoked too, bringing up a game Walters and Ward apparently played badly in and saying they should watch it. Why? Have they both been speaking out lately? I can't find anything that suggests they have.

Agree it’s wrong but I watched an interview recently involving Walters and he was discussing his arguments with Keane which he’d have been better not airing, even if I did think they were great. Keane was always going to retaliate

If ever the term ‘loose cannon’ was appropriate for someone it’s Keane. Beyond arrogant and as good as he was a player, his management record is not all that and should to an extent have shown him how to keep his trap shut..

Its disrespectful to have a dig about football abilities, but the family stuff is disgraceful.

I think he goes way beyond being a loose cannon - he's been at Walters for a few years now but Keane lashes out at just whoever he wants to lash out at.

I mean when it comes to slagging off Lingard and co', as a former Manchester United player who has achieved at the club I can accept it - but to slag off Ward and Walters for jobs they've done with Ireland and Ipswich? It's not like Keane did anything with Ipswich or Ireland is it? Needs to get off his high horse.

I think he's a great pundit, just not very good at coaching/managing - no doubt due to his very poor man-management skills.

Keane has always been like this, not sure why there needs to be an article, is it a slow news day or something :D Keane’s always been one to hold a grudge but he’s not wrong about Walters.

Giving someone grief over family issues is never called for. Judge his commitment and ability to football, fine.

Seen a few bits from Walters that he’s done recently. Comes across a right clown imo. What Keane has said is probably about right.

We’ve seen Owens comments about Newcastle the other day. Fans on here calling him disrespectful etc. Why? Fans abuse players none stop and cry when they talk back.

John Terry did it years back saying he won’t take **** from Robbie Savage. He cried too.

People need to stop mouthing off if they can’t take anything back. Especially if Roy Keane is involved.

disgusting tackle and following behavior against Haaland - Keane should have been thrown out of the game following that tackle (assault!)

Maybe, but when a Burnley player did similar in 1994 against a Bolton player, all people can talk about it is them not giving us the ball back from a throw in.

Gayles was a bad tackle but it wasn’t premeditated like Keanes was.

Bally’s tackle was great as it’s about the only positive thing about that game. We were never getting anything from that game tbh whether he walked or not imo. Men against boys as was proven at Ewood. Something else we needed to go through to get to our recent period of nearly 10 years undefeated.

I’d say Ball’s was a horribly mistimed challenge. Gayle’s was horrible. Spooner eventually successfully sued us.

I hope Sean Dyche publicly defends his former players. Thats disgraceful.

Stephen Ward didn't put a foot wrong with Burnley Football Club. Jon Walters was terribly unlucky for us. Stoke fans had nothing but praise for him when he signed for us.

Whats all this stuff about talking a good game? Do you need to be a footballing superstar to be on the television or something? 500 league appearances give him enough credibility to talk a good game in my opinion. I think he's jealous because Walters is pipping him to tele work.

But every now and then he comes out with stuff that really extends his reputation in the 'Odious' awards.

Think there is a lot of looking at this with claret tinted glasses on. Walters has been doing the circuit the last few months and has had an awful lot to say about Keane and how he would deck him.

Ward did release details of what happened via the whatsapp message either himself or a mate doing the dirty for him.

Also what on earth is a player going on international duty for saying he cant train properly and wanting free days. Surely you would retire and concentrate on league football.

Loved Ward but Walters I have no real opinion on. Was a player we never really needed and yes it was a shame what happened at Blackburn but because of that I will never really remember him as a Burnley player.

What Dyche does with us and the players self policing themselves works well at club level but when so many - Long, Brady, Hendrick, Walters, Ward - all go together on international duty I can see where problems might start arising. They will have been some of the more senior players there and probably much like in the 90's when UTD players went on England duty and expected everyone to tow their line. Keane would have took major umbrage at this and hasnt the personality to deal with it properly.

Was one of these players (the one who was with us longest), the player responsible for the leaking of team selection on a friday before matches?

Ward was an integral part of our team, up until the last year where Taylor nudged him out of the team. Not sure why he felt the need to act like a child telling everyone how 'bad' Keane is/was (see article above).

Walters did nothing for us, couldn't care less.

Whilst Keanes words may not be 'nice', he won a hell of a lot more than both of them combined.

He's a strange fella is Keane. No doubt that stubborn, confrontational mindset aided his playing career but now it means he's going to be remembered as much for being a bitter old man, being angry for money on TV occasionally. Shame really.

People that are more successful could have more class and certainly have no need to go on about medals etc....

He also belittled football clubs like Hull, Cardiff and Ipswich (who he managed) during the interview. There is absolutely no need to poke fun at someone’s career when they have been at a slightly lower level than yourself, particularly given he had arguably ended the career of one such player with his bad tackle. Perhaps he should ‘lie low’ as he is suggesting for Walters.

Really....mistimed tackle?

Doesnt come across as mistimed from the horses mouth. How can you mistime a challenge with both feet off the ground?

No doubt that objectively Ball's tackle could have ended a career.

Anyone who gives Keane a manager's job wants their head seeing to. He comes across as pretty much the worst man manager of all time. The weird thing is he doesn't seem to be aware how alienating his personality is
