Prince Abdullah wins Sheffield United battle

The battle for ownership of Sheffield United has been resolved in the High Court. The judge ruled that co-owner Kevin McCabe must sell his share of the club to fellow co-owner Prince Abdullah.

Is he related to Prince Naseem ? There are a lot of Princes in Sheffield.
McCabe will be gutted he's been involved there for some considerable.

McCabe has been there for a long, long time but the problems between them needed to be resolved and it had to go to the High Court to do that.

So to avoid any confusion - the full name of the now owner is Prince Abdullah bin Mosa'ad bin Abdulaziz Al Sa'ud

Which means that the Premier League now has 2 clubs closely connected to gulf state rulers with rumours of a third at Newcastle dying and Leeds still actively courting the Qataris - Must stress that the new owner of Sheffield Utd is not a vehicle for state sponsorship in the way Man City are. Should the Saudi State ever get behind a Premier League team it will be Manchester United
