Used to be proper games at Turf Moor with mostly the reserve team, and the odd sprinkling of first teamers. I remember fairly decent crowds in the 60's.

Once saw Wille Morgan get a game when returning from injury - he ran rings round the opposition - possibly Barrow? The lower league teams took it very seriously and often fielded very strong teams.
