Video just released of him headbutting the Scunthorpe footballer in the nightclub before his beating outside. Will be interesting to know whether he told SD the full story and if he didnt whether all trust will be gone

more interesting to see if he is charged with assault

Was it one of those footballer headbutts where the two players were rubbing their heads against each other’s?

Whats more alarming is the amount of people whod rather surround and film these things then help sort it out...

Plenty of sources on Twitter.
I think Chelsea will try and sack him now, unless they are making a profit on him off us.

Why would they sack someone they can probably sell for £20m?

Explains the head bruises.
What a d*ck.
Bad enough being filmed while hammered. With all those phones about - what does he expect? Little wonder as to why he didn't get Police involved.
I do wonder if SD was given all the detail by DD.

You are saying on one thread Beardsley deserves sacking for calling a black man a monkey and questioning why a club would sack a player for head butting another black player while drunk in a club?

Not good to be getting (effectively) drip fed the details of this. Looks like we’ll be getting more and more videos and story enhancements each week....
If (and it’s a big if) this guy adds any value to our season I'll be surprised. He’s gonna be under a lot of pressure when he does get on the pitch because it will no doubt be when there’s more of these snippets in the background.
As others have said he is clearly beyond foolish getting filmed like this. You expect that sort of stuff at 19 or 20 but not at his age. Looks like a write off to me....

Beardsley is not a multi million pound asset. I didn’t say that Drinkwater didn’t deserve to be sacked - although racially abusing someone in the workplace is clearly a more sackable offence than assaulting someone outside the workplace. I asked why Chelsea would sack him when they could sell him for millions of pounds?
It’s really not difficult to see that the two views are in no way contradictory.

Chelsea have already said they were leaving it to Burnley, we knew all about this and it has been dealt with. but suddenly the Daily Star got hold of the other day and decided to resurrect it.

I think that's a ridiculous comparison. Beardsley was deliberately making comments about people because they were black. There is absolutely no eveidence to suggest Drinkwater was doing anything to anyone because of their colour.

Well, perhaps the whole story hadn't been told to SD prior to this piece of film?

Hadn’t even noticed that you included the fact that the Scunthorpe player was black until CT posted. That makes your point even more stupid and irrelevant.

Calling somebody a “monkey” is clearly racially motivated. Head butting a black bloke isn’t.

There are no circumstances that should lead to one of our players acting like this in public at the age of 29. I would guess that very few people on here have ever felt the need to headbutt anyone and if they did it may have been part of youthful exuberance or they have a screw loose. This guy should know better and I reckon some of our immaculately behaved squad (if not all) would think the same. Don’t think we need people like that in our squad tbh.

Some of the almost hysterical comments about Drinkwater on this board are incredible - the lad has made a serious mistake, it's done and dusted, but seems some on here can't wait to post to have a go at him.

i'm not convinced. i think we may very well have a "bad apple" here, and SD's ability to turn sh!t into sugar will be severely tested (if I am right), Chelsea have done us no favour .

Let's hope we never sign Joey Barton then - that would bring the whole club to its knees given what he's done.

Joey Barton behaved perfectly whilst signed as a Burnley player, I can't see the point of bringing him into this.

Joey's name had already been brought in prior to my comment - but the suggestion was that Drinkwater could be a bad apple. I would say, given what Joey had done then he was the most rotten apple you could bring in to your dressing room. Can't believe anyone didn't have serious, serious concerns when we signed him.

Just asking.
