We are investigating following a report of suspicious circumstances at Padiham Service Station in Burnley Road, Padiham.
We were called around 2.50pm today following reports a suspect device had been attached to an ATM machine overnight causing damage. (1/2)
Officers, as well as the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team, are at the scene and a 100m cordon is currently in place.
Enquiries are on-going and an investigation underway. (2/2)
If it was done overnight, why did it take 8hrs before the police were called?

there was an incident in padiham about 5 weeks back where someone used device to blast the ATM. slade lane area.

I'm not even certain there IS an ATM at that petrol station. 
I do know there was one at The Grove shop on Slade Lane and it was blown up and nicked recently.
