Not so sure gazza would be up to playing a football tournament these days. Maybe a pool tournament down the local.

Probably better with David James in goal too. Keeping fit with a bit of dancing these days.

Foster
Neville Terry Ferdinand
Beckham Lampard Gerrard Cole
Scholes
Shearer Sheringham
Not exactly the greatest players of a generation necessarily but probably be in good enough shape to do well.

In a theoretical dream team you would have players like Gazza and Hoddle, but if these chaps are actually going to compete you would want players only just over 35 like Jermaine Defoe.

Agreed, I'd be looking/selecting first from the over 35's who are or were very recently still playing regularly at EPL and Championship level; Michael Dawson's still a regular at Notts Forest and Crouch's only just stopped playing for one of the very finest clubs
