I remember the game quite well. We organised transport from the Rose & Crown to get down there. There were two sets of us, the 'older end' (my mates and I)' plus quite a few of the younger lads (17 to 20 year olds). About half a dozen of the younger end got arrested for fighting with the police and stewards.......kids eh?

Steve Davis managed his 1 and only game at Leicester which we won but that was just before the horseface was appointed

I was meaning the “first win at Walkers” game not the game in OP link

Wasn't the 2002 one the first win for any away team at their new bowl?

If I remember rightly, that season saw a spike in our nutters being arrested.

Sadly we won't have Ian Moore next Saturday. We've no chance.

Definitely the first team to beat them there. Four of our first five games there we won 1-0 with the other a 0-0 draw.

I saw us win there in 2006, think it was an Andy Gray goal
that won it for us, in August.
Didn't we do the double over them that season?
Yep, two one nil wins, just looked it up.

i remember that game. Didn't it kick off at half time when they tried to put down the shutters on the bars early? Lots of fans forcing them open and the bar staff looking terrified as beer was thrown everywhere before the coppers tried to wade into an already packed concourse? To be fair that has probably happened at several away games
