Even Garth Crooks on Final Score was raving at the decision said it was a goal all day long.

We were just a pay cheque (stop gap) to him, hardly mentions us. He'd prefer people not to know he played for us imo.

A bit unfair to bring him into this, he never played for Burnley...

Wright isn’t on - it’s Phil Neville, so we should get a neutral view.

Neville has already been asking why referees aren’t using the pitch side monitors today, so I suspect he’ll be sympathetic.

I was watching Final Score, Crooks, the ever sensible Keown and Jason Mohammad all said that the goal should have stood. Can't see that view shifting significantly with Shearer and Neville who both seem to get the Dyche mantra - Lineker has already indicated he thought his beloved Leicester got away with it.

We know why the goal didn't stand.
It's 12 months since what happened, and the VAR team didn't want to award us the win. End of chat.

I couldn't believe my ears when Crooks actually said the goal should have stood (I would say I wondered how he kept a straight face but..........)

Well if Crooks says it was a goal, it probably wasn't. The chances of him being right for the first time ever about anything being today's goal are just too slim.

until I saw MOTD they all said it wasn't?IT got it right after all! But Evans should hang his head along with the Ref.

So all the ex professionals think it was a goal....will be interesting to get Shearer’s view because he thought the Kane one against Newcastle wasn’t a pen....

Evans is a cheat imo and should be enbarrrased. Then again he might have feet made of lettuce or feathers. Pathetic.

Sorry, I think it was a foul.
However, I don't think it was a clear and obvious error not to give it, especially with the precedent of the bar having been set so high in the first 8 games of the season. The De Bruyne one not being given just adds to the frustration.

Neville says it's the right decision,FGS what chance have you got with idiots like him,you do wonder if they're making up for the dodgy Mane penalty a couple of weeks ago,if that's the case we're due a couple of decisions in the next few games.

You could tell btw that all three of them knew that goal should never have been chalked off.
I mean, Silva gets stood on and its not a penalty, Evans get a slight clip to a ball he's not even reaching and the goal is ruled out?
You can't have level of inconsistency and expect this to work.

VAR is ok for offside and whether a ball had gone over the goal line as it’s black and white. Having muppets sat there interpreting it and different ones at different games just leads to more inconsistency. As a multi million pound business and the stakes involved it needs better than this shambles.
