Man City vs Aston Villa

Not seen a thread for this.

Watching and every 5 mins the game is stopped for a VAR check mainly from the players chasing down the ref moaning, the game is becoming more and more frustrating is it just me or is VAR spoiling the game on TV now as well as at the ground. Even the commentators are having to guess what the checks are for.

Might have to watch dirty Leeds 2nd half least the game will flow....

VAR certainly isn't helping the game. Last week was a complete nonsense because it is not getting decisions horribly wrong as well as holding up the game and taking all the emotion away from it.

They had a discussion on The Debate about VAR and I agree with what they said, that it will have problems in its first season but if they listen to the fans and players, it can keep being improved. We're basically in the beta stage, where feedback is reported back to the powers that be and it's a case of whether they listen and act, that I think will depend on whether it's successful.

Why is Jesus on instead of Aguero anyway? It's like playing Nahki Wells when you have a fit Ashley Barnes.

As good as City are I find watching them really boring, particularly when they're at home.

They can afford to switch players when they wish and give more squad players a game (think morale).

Amazing clearance off the line by Mings, kneed it over the bar.

Evans chasing down the ref is what got VAR to look at and then disallow that goal last week. If we want to compete we need to start play acting and chasing down and crossing out the ref but Dyche won’t allow it. He’s too unfashioned and in this sense it does cost us.

Chasing down the ref should be a instant red card Every grass roots game every kids game sees this and thinks it’s allowed and that’s one reason why refs get punched on a Sunday other reason is complete idiots think it’s ok to do it. Never seen it happen in a rugby game and these boys are a lot more aggressive and bigger in general..... been a long standing problem in the game they never try to stamp out.

Nice Double substitution what would you give just to have these 2 players in our starting 11. Unreal the quality City have.

It is rather ludicrous.

3-0 is a good dent in their goal diff. Keep 'em behind us.

2nd goal now given to David Silva which means the goal should have been disallowed, because Sterling was offside, by VAR. The guy in the VAR truck for this game today is.....drum roll.....Jon Moss

Haven't seen it but that has confused me; given to Silva but shouldn't be allowed because Sterling was offside? I'm sure there's a simple explanation but I'm not complaining - Silva is in my fantasy team!

The initial cross/shot from KDB, Sterling was onside.
When Silva touched it, Sterling was in offside position in front of Heaton, obstructing his view
