Not the best ref but we know that.
Sadly we were poorer than him

No bearing on our poor performance but he was a homer of a ref would happily have him ref at the turf but not away ha ha.

Before I rate I’ll say that nothing the referee did affected the result but he was absolutely appalling

Thought he had a shocker. The 3 non penalties were as follows
J Rod was caught from behind with no contact on the ball. Sadly he made nothing of it then made a half hearted appeal. No check on VAR by Hooper
Hold and push on back on Barnes was clear. Nothing given
Finally the hand ball was clear and the comma on nbc were expecting a pen to be given. His arm was not in a normal position. Ball clearly struck his arm and deflected ball away from Barnes. They even showed the replay in the goal highlights !!!! Which they never do. 100% agreement it was a penalty except from VAR and ref. I give up. Not saying they changed the result but you never know what a goal can do

Jay Rod one was a typical refs decision! It was either a penalty or a goal kick. We got a corner!

A homer if ever I saw one but his poor performance had absolutely no effect on a very poor, insipid display from us. Think we had three, possibly four booked. They had none yet there wasn't a bad foul on view today. We played much of the first half like we'd agreed to trial 'non-
contact for those that now run football. I would give the ref seven,at best for each of the disciplines. I would suggest that he attempts to shed a few pounds if he is at all serious about continuing to officiate in professional football for the paying customer.

The worst referee we’ve had this season. And that’s saying something. Not that a better one would have changed the result.
