They're home game next week is nearer to remembrance Sunday than yesterday. Let's wait to see what they do then before making wild accusations eh?Rileybobs wrote:Disgusting from Spurs. Why do they hate our fallen heroes so much?
I don't know Rileybobs but i'm willing to believe his post was a joke.Grumps wrote:They're home game next week is nearer to remembrance Sunday than yesterday. Let's wait to see what they do then before making wild accusations eh?
Based on what?Imploding Turtle wrote:I don't know Rileybobs but i'm willing to believe his post was a joke.
Based on how ridiculous it would be if someone, who i don't believe has a history of ridiculousness, actually believed that.Grumps wrote:Based on what?
I was surprised we had them on at Bramall Lane because this Saturday is our designated game. I'm not sure why the leagues feel the need to do it over two weekends to be honest, it doesn't matter whether a team is home or away. But this insistence that all players wear them is very, very wrong. It's a choice that everyone has whether or not to wear a poppy.wilks_bfc wrote:As we are at home this weekend I’m surprised that we had the poppies on our shirts last Saturday tbh.
I’m assuming we will also have them on for this Saturdays game
Don't the club auction the shirts off? Maybe they are trying to help raise more money by having twice as many to option - and home and away choice.wilks_bfc wrote:As we are at home this weekend I’m surprised that we had the poppies on our shirts last Saturday tbh.

It's just as ridiculous to post that if you don't believe it, very strange behaviour either wayImploding Turtle wrote:Based on how ridiculous it would be if someone, who i don't believe has a history of ridiculousness, actually believed that.
Not if he's mocking those who might have those kinds of feelings.Grumps wrote:It's just as ridiculous to post that if you don't believe it, very strange behaviour either way

I'll look on tv later, those that were quick to criticise last week have been quiet, so I guess they wore them todaywilks_bfc wrote:I’d forgotten the original point of this thread
I don’t think anyone seriously criticised Spurs though did they. Which is probably why they’ve been quiet.Grumps wrote:I'll look on tv later, those that were quick to criticise last week have been quiet, so I guess they wore them today

Nothing was tongue in cheek from what I read, but backtracking is a great thing when you're caught outRileybobs wrote:I did say seriously criticise, Spades. I thought it was pretty obvious that was posted tongue in cheek.
Ok bud, you got me. I genuinely thought that Spurs hated soldiers who have lost their lives fighting for this country.Grumps wrote:Nothing was tongue in cheek from what I read, but backtracking is a great thing when you're caught out
Why you would think that is beyond me, but people do like to think they are controversialRileybobs wrote:Ok bud, you got me. I genuinely thought that Spurs hated soldiers who have lost their lives fighting for this country.
