My favourite comedy ad of all time was the Carlsburg one in the days of 'probably the best'. Slaves are knackered after a hard days rowing in the galley of Caesar's ship. They gave one half Carlsburg and the other half another beer to refresh them. Cue Caesar running down into the galley as camp as you like shouting 'Stop! Stop! We're going round in circles'.

As someone born and bred in Accrington, the milk advert has to go down as one greatest of all time in terms of cost of advert versus recall. Even now, 29 years or so later, I still get 'that line' repeated back to me when I meet new people and say where I am from.

I can't remember the last time I sat through a full TV advert. In our house they are either fast-forward or paused and then FF.
