Great news.

But we need to be looking to bring in the next one at some point soon.

Good news, but with him and Jay both 31 next year, we need to start looking at a longer term replacement.
Hopefully that will be this summer when we lose Vydra giving whoever it is a season to get upto speed.

But gives us 1 less position to worry about for a season or 2.

Don't think news regards Jeff's contract will be too far away either...

He’s passed his best. He is past it.

Barnes is neither, by the way.

I was concerned that the full force of the GrammarNazi will be on me so I had to check... I was right (in the use of the word, not in that Barnes is passed it - he's not :D)

It's the difference between "he has passed" or "he is past".

But he is neither, this is good for both club and player.

Sorry, I didnt mean to be a grammar nazi. The only reason I contested it is because he is the biggest one I know

If we get relegated we'll need Ashley, and he would score plenty in the Championship, makes total sense either way.
