Matt Lowton - odd

Did anyone notice Lowton warming up at half time? He seemed to be continually berating the blonde-haired coach warming him up for the quality of his passes. Cut a forlorn figure out there. Understandable if he wasn’t happy to be dropped but seemed that there might be something deeper. Just curious if anyone closer to the event, probably in the Bob Lord Stand saw this?

It's possible that the coach was saying, look, now do you get it why an accurate pass is important?

Looked like he was running through treacle at times last week.

A position that demands a bit of attention over the coming months.

Maybe Lowton prefers to make his passes at brunettes

Got all the attention it needs today.

Bardsley is our most effective right sided full back. Seeing as the full backs primary role is to defend, and bearing in mind we spend a lot more time defending than attacking down the flanks, I’d say the position should be his.

I agree, but Bardsley is 34 years old and that position demands attention.

Bardsley played well today. But I do feel like it’s only a matter of time before he runs out of steam and Lowton has that “brought back to the side” bounce, etc. It’s a position we’ve rotated with a good few times over the past 2 years, but the problem hasn’t fully gone away.

We do need a new right back soon.

2 years younger than Alexander when we signed him. Hes just a pup.

I’m not desperate for anything. I saw Matt Lowton shouting and gesticulating at a member of our coaching staff. The incident continued for a couple of minutes. It ended with Lowton waving his hand at the coach as if to tell him to f-off. Usually our players are quite relaxed and in good spirits at half time but Lowton was clearly irked and taking it out on a colleague.

I merely asked whether anyone else sat in the BLS saw the incident from closer quarters and was able to provide more details. If you’re not interested about the incident then just don’t comment.

I'll start to worry if we move Bardsley in to centre midfield.

Did anyone else see Ben Mee take a drink of water today?

I thought it was odd because when Ben first signed in the 2011/12 season, I saw him drinking a Powerade. It just struck me as odd that he would have some water when he could have had some Powerade.

Can anyone close to the Bob Lord Stand confirm whether there was any Powerade on the touchline available? Just think there might be something deeper than Ben simply preferring water today. Thanks.

It's about the sixth time in the last month that you've used my terminology in the wrong context.

Yes I saw it clear as day. Ben took a swig of a clear coloured liquid. I know it wasn't Powerade because that's more of a blue coloured liquid.

How about the incident that actually took place? Did you see it and can you shed any more light? Might help you save some face for your terrible attempt at a humorous analogy.

Are you saying the Ben Mee incident didn't take place? What a strange comment.

There's nothing humorous about remaining well hydrated Rileybobs. Again a really strange comment.

If you didn't see the incident just don't reply. I'm trying to get to the bottom of it.

Not read through all the p1ss taking, but when the players ran in after the warm up, they always applaud the fans on the way in, Lowton trudged back, looked miserable as sin and didn't bother.

But I'm kind of happy he's unhappy at being dropped, but it's not hard to appreciate the fans with a little acknowledgement clap who are clapping you.

Ignoring made up conspiracy theories that only 1 person saw, Lowton has a habit of coming back stronger from a few games on the bench, the same for Bardsley - a good position to be in.

A different manager would rotate them on purpose depending on the game. That’s not a dig at Dyche at all.

I agree. They both seem to be at their best when they are left out for a few games.

It’s not a conspiracy theory and it’s not made up. I posted about an incident that I witnessed with my own eyes. My brother actually pointed it out to me as I don’t particularly pay attention to the players warming up. But Lowton’s berating of the coach continued for a couple of minutes. It was really odd. I’m sure some will have seen what happened from the Bob Lord Stand.

If you didn’t see it then that’s fine but please don’t accuse me of making it up. Ask yourself why I would make the story up and also see whether I have previous of making stories up. Just because you didn’t see it doesn’t mean that it didn’t happen.

What was I asking you for evidence about? I don’t recall.

Seems like you may be playing the man rather than the ball here.

He’s asking whether anyone else saw what he and his brother did. Asking for evidence and berating him about it is pathetic.

I was in the Bob Lord on Saturday and also witnessed Matt Lowtons spat with the trainer. Lowton did look miffed and spent most of the half-time just kicking the ball aimlessly. It looked to me as if the trainer was asking him to take things seriously and Lowton didn't seem to be interested. This is of course only my opinion of what went on.

Strange that, thought it was a conspiracy theory.

Yes definitely an odd incident, and not something that you would expect to see during the half time warm up.
