The album Listen without Prejudice has stood the test of time so well, sounds as good today as when it was released in 1990

Theres an argument to say that in 1984 he wrote the best cheesy pop song (wake me up before you go go), the best ballad (careless whisper) and the best christmas song (Last Christmas) of all time.

Nah, the best Christmas song of all time was sung by the Pogues. Any festive song that mentions scumbags, maggots and cheap lousy faggots gets my vote.

The only good xmas songs were produced by Phil Spector.
All the others are rubbish. ALL OF THEM.
Great shame for the family. GM was a talent, not my thing at all but he had a certain quality.

Fave song for me is " A Different Corner". Also Freedom 90.
One that for some reason never seems to be played at Christmas is "December Song".

A very good friend of mine passed away in September 2017 at the age of 50. As she came into church for her funeral they played George Michael's You have been loved. Might not have been his best ever song but it leaves me very emotional every time I hear it.
