he was given offside because he was coming back from an offside position...............even though he was onside when the ball was played.

As I said during the Brighton game. Offside has to be measured by the position of the players feet and not any other part of his body. Won’t stop bad decisions but will help

Note the referee didn't go to the pitch side monitor yet again, it's called passing the buck,I didn't disallow it it was VAR , bloody cheat.

I'm surprised offsides are still manually decided. With today's technology surely that decision can be automated.

It seems odd that the wrongly given goal kick that everyone in the stadium could see should have been a Norwich corner doesn't get overturned or VAR not even mentioned.
As for the disallowed goal, it can no longer be assumed that if the attacker's level then he's onside.. VAR clearly disagrees.. it makes for a very sterile sport imo.
Other top European leagues using VAR don't seem to have the same controversies.
