Does this amount of traffic keep crashing the site,struggling to sign in at busy times recently.

happens every transfer window and more recently following another poor performance in a match

I did wonder whether they took it offline purposely until everybody had calmed down!

LOL that crossed my mind also

It’s been going offline regularly after a defeat. It never used to do that, it just slowed down loads when it was busy.

You're joking they'll be coining it in with all the traffic. It'd be like Tesco taking the Turkey's off their shelves the week before Xmas

Not sure about that. Repeat visitors get 'ad blindness'.

I doubt it's done on purpose. Football fans are, by nature, cynics. The current form of the team would see it permanently down if that were true. Besides there are those on here who would have the equivalent of serious withdrawals if it were to go down too much and then that would leave to mods open to accusations of mental cruelty leading to serious depression and possible suicide, which would bring with it charges of corporate manslaughter. Then we would have no site to moan on at all and that would lead to civil unrest and it would all be the fault of Sean Dyche and the board. Burnley would become a wasteland and the the whole place would be...oh FFS House shut up.

The problems are nothing to do with our normal traffic, or even excessive traffic due to transfer windows or defeats. We are clearly having problems but it is disappointing to read the sort of garbage as the posts quoted above. As for coining it in, this site isn't making any money, it is not even covering its costs.
