Daily Mail
"Aston Villa are reportedly looking to raid Burnley’s goalkeeping department for a second time in recent months following the injury to Tom Heaton.
The former Clarets stopper has been ruled out until the end of the season after damaging his cruciate knee ligament.
Now the Mail report that Villa boss Dean Smith is considering a move for Burnley no.2 Joe Hart to cover for Heaton’s absence."

We free up wages and maybe even a small fee, BPF steps into 2nd place as he was always going to do eventually.
Hart gets first team Premier League football until the end of the season. Seems like win-win for all concerned.

6 month loan with them picking up his full wage before he goes to America this summer seems like a good outcome for everyone. BPF is perfectly capable of being our number 2.

Let's not get too excited on this, just yet. There have been a number of 'false dawns' regarding Joe.

I guess Villa now being out of the cup, helps. As Hart wouldn't be able to play for them had they progressed.

Not sure we should get too excited. Helping a relegation rival in a position they are desperate for, two windows running sounds a bit naive to me.
As is going from three recognised england keepers to 1 and a rooky backup.

Spot on. I really don’t understand all the negativity around Joe Hart. He’s a good goalkeeper.

Joe Hart has had a brilliant career, great keeper, how ironic would it be if he went to Villa and kept them up at our expense
Be careful what you wish for all you Joe Hart haters.

Some drivel on this board regarding Hart. He's a very very good goalkeeper.

I am not a Joe Hart hater, just curious at his age why he's not learned to come for crosses and whats this fisting instead of catching nonsense?

He’s a target along with Hendrick & Brady

There’s no way we’ll let Hart go to one of our main rivals at the bottom at this stage of the season

It would be madness to let Hart leave in January unless we can bring in a backup goalkeeper with Premier League experience.

I’m not the biggest Joe Hart fan but I don’t think you can accuse him of that !

I hope you are right
If they get Hart plus Giroud on short term deals there is a good chance they will stay up
Also in the market for Butland

While big Joe is no Nick Pope on crosses surely his private preferences should be kept out of it !

Is there any reason why Joe Hart is so disliked among many Burnley fans? I don't recall him being poor during his stint when Heaton and Pope were injured. In fact I'm pretty sure he got man of the match a few times with keeping us in games.
