The free snoods thread got me thinking. When was the last goodwill gesture from the club for the fans? All I can remember is free season tickets when we got promoted.

We got free chocolate buttons at last match and did we not get flags at a match earlier in the season?

Boost bars on the way out after a game earlier this season.

Although by the time we got out they had all been snaffled and all the was left was empty boxes by the exit

Reduced ticket prices last season for the away games at Chelsea and Everton, both were £10 for adults thus a total saving of £40. We've also had reduced prices previously at Man City and Everton.

That's a SAVING for our fans, not a gift that many won't want.

The last useful thing we got free from the club were them scarves that were sponsored by no limits more then 10 years ago. And the sponsorship of them probably paid for them. We are skint, can’t buy anyone, can’t even get anyone on a free as we can’t afford to pay anymore wages so it’s no surprise. Wouldn’t be surprised if the club made some staff redundant soon just to make ends meet. Tough times. Getting like Macclesfield. Wonder if Sunday’s game will go ahead? :?

Is this still part of the Premier League fund initiative from 2013 or did that end and our club has continued to offer it from time to time out of their own pocket?

Your last sentence is a bit churlish. No need to knock Leicester who put in a lot of effort and do a lot of good work to recognise their fans and instill a real family and community spirit

Those were disgusting !
It was a new energy bar Boost were promoting - it did not cost the club a penny other than cleaning up all the chocolate bars with one bite missing !

I got a free season ticket, Leicester fans get a free snood. I'll not swap.

Our season tickets cost between £329 and £455. Theirs cost between £380 and £660. How much free stuff do you need to justify the extra cost?

I seem to remember little footballs being kicked into the crowd, to keep as souvenirs, at the end of the season. If memory serves this would have been Division 4 days. I am sure they did this at least once. Great as a kid at the time

Dsr, I think you are also forgetting the free bottle of water Leicester were giving their supporters attending a recent match.

Must have cost them in the region of about 10p each bottle when purchased in bulk.

No, that was replaced by the maximum £30 for away tickets.

Leicester have won the league, played in the Champions League and are battling for a Champions League place again as well as competing to be in a cup final.

I’d argue their season tickets are much better value than ours.

We got free Christmas hats away at Spurs about 5 years ago. We also get tickets purchased online posted out free to us and we're not charged a booking fee.

The Premier League fund came to an end after the 2015/16 season (or 2014/15 for us). The change after that was to limit adult prices to £30 for away games across the league.

Theyve frozen season tickets for the umpteenth time.

There was free Christmas hats at Spurs on year.

They haven't put the premium phone lines up to £2 a minute.

Theres a Marquee in the CFS

Bag check points

Been quite a few great gestures over the years, people just forget them.

Bigger twixs, season cards (that are still manned by turnstile operators)

Leics are the Kings of happy clapping plastic though ,they had scarves or flags on seats last week for cup semi and when we played away this season they had scarves on all seats in a sea of robotic plastic ( though think it was helicopter crash anniversary )

The biggest faux pas was Man Utd in a champ league game vs Liverpool away giving free white Utd shirts ... Man Utd fans who purposely don’t wear colours away !! To their credit completely ignored the gesture of utter ignorance of their away fan base .

How did season ticket prices compare when we achieve those honours? I don’t know, it was 20 years before I was born so I’d didn't have one.

If we were 4th, had the players Leicester do, and play football like they do, id happily pay £660 a season, in fact I'd probably pay 1K! I'd also be more than happy for them to keep the snoods, free beers, free travel, free clappers etc etc too

We were 4th at one point two seasons ago!

I'll bet you wouldn't have been happy forking out 1k for a season ticket then.

I can assure you if we would have had the same success Leicester have had in the last 5 years, I'd be more than happy to shell out a grand a season.

But we haven't , and never would, so its irrelevant.

Was pointing out what a silly thing it was to compare both clubs, they couldnt be further apart in virtually every way possible.

Yes our owners didn't get their wealth by acquiring a monopoly on duty free sales in their country. Some say by nefarious means.
