I've read that and now I'm more confused. Other than it will cost £6,400 to watch Sheffield Wednesday which doesn't sound great, even if it was a thousand year season ticket.

I think they've overcomplicated it bearing in mind, many will be from Sheffield.

The confusion kicked in long before getting to the price for this... it was around the Sheff Weds & Premier league bit

To be fair, they'll probably still sell loads. Watching mediocre, second tier football in a huge crumbling relic at extortionate prices seems enduringly popular in that half of Sheffield.

Just fancy forking out all that money in one lump sum then croaking before the start of the season, i wonder if the ticket would still be valid to pass on to someone else? just a thought.

They're far from skint, the owner is loaded. Probably more to do with FFP.

So the longer they stay outside the Premiership the better value for money your ticket becomes?

so no plans for development of the ground if they guarantee you a seat in the same stand for ten years. cannot believe they never bulldozed the Leppings lane end after the tragedy

The ticket will last until the later of the two following events:
- 10 seasons after promotion to the Premier League
- 15 seasons from the end of this season.

So if they get promoted this year or in the next 5, the ticket lasts 15 years; if promotion happens in more than 5 years, the tickets lasts 10 years from promotion.

If they redevelop the ground, then obviously they will move to equivalent seats.

If you want money back part way through, you can have it. Pro rata based on seasons used.

So are they asking for £6400 up front or is it paid over the 10 years (or 15) :?: :?:

We have people whining about £15 for a cup ticket at a Premier League club, yet think stumping £6400 for a season ticket (allbeit 15 years +/-) at a (currently) Championship club seems OK

You could not make it up

If you have enough disposable cash, have't got one foot in the grave and are like the happy clappers on here whose life resolves around watching their footy team and will get a season ticket no matter what then it is a fantastic offer.

If you don't tick those boxes then you can simply carry on as you are

An interesting idea but I feel they are miles away from promotion. Now if it was a Brentford 5 yr deal that may work for some.Meanwhile we are renewing our JHU seat watching our team at a very cheap price.
