Didn't expect one, never mind three points today. It was more about fighting spirit than quality particularly with the likes of O'Neill being anonymous for the most part.
Pope strengthened his credentials for England's no1 twixt the sticks with that amazing penalty save from Vardy in addition to a number of other impressive saves.

Yep. And no doubt they'll be conspicuous by their absence on this board tonight.

It wasn't quite do or die, but you can't help but think this win will kick start our season again and go someway to (hopefully) keeping us up. First time I've enjoyed watching us in a while during the second half. The fight and commitment that have been dangerously lacking were back. Deserved our luck today. The glaring issues are still there but I'll enjoy the rest of the weekend now!

Back to ourselves today....Pope saving the penalty made the win possible!

Wood did not score a header and O'Neil was anonymous because he's in Australia.

Sorry BigF.. I was overcome with excitement...yeah he did kick the ball in. Wood did attempt a couple of headers....very brave with a broken nose (in my opinion), the best of which was a free header early in the second half which sailed wide of the left post.

I don't think there will be a meltdown today on the site , now if we had lost there would have been .

I have been saying to people all week we would win a game we were not expected to.
It’s kinda what we do.
Whilst I didn’t think it would be today, that’s a massive result.

I think it turned on the pen save.

Some of the passing play was great today, and we definitely do better playing that way. Played them off the park in the second half

We always go through these difficult periods and we always come through them. When will the doom- mongers catch on?

I am a bit concerned about the form of Mee and Tarko at the moment though...

First half we were pretty okay and probably didn’t deserve to be behind (clearly a foul on Cork). Second half we did what we do best, and then some. Vast improvement and I’m pleased for Dyche and the lads but we shouldn’t get too carried away. We are obviously still in need of some fresh legs in the side. The good thing about today is we played well without McNeil playing too well.
Made up for Pope as well, a game changing performance.
All in all a good day but let’s hope we still try to get someone in during the window. Dyche must be tired of making a silk purse from a sows ear.

Aye, sitting in 14th, closer points wise to the top 10 than the bottom 3, having just beaten the team sitting 3rd in the league.

Every season has its massive, massive moments. I’d like to think we’ll be able to look back on that Nick Pope penalty save as the moment that kept us in the division.

After a sticky opening, we played very well in the first half, until Cork got caught in possession. Difference in the second half being we gave it a go and were in the ascendency when Leicester were awarded their penalty. The Pope save was the turning point. A fantastic second half performance and an absolutely fantastic result. I'm not getting too carried away as there are still concerns but it gives us some breathing space.

Huge win we actually played some football crowd got involved much much better actually enjoyed today..

Absolutely fantastic today. Not just the result but the fight and desire we showed as a team. It gives me real optimism that we can turn that game around. If you can do that, usually, you won't go down.
