Another excellent game for him today.
Let some of the tougher challenges go but gave the ones that he couldn’t ignore (Bardsley).
I listened to him on the Peter Crouch podcast and he comes across very well. Worked very hard to get to the level he is at and spent 16 years working in a chicken factory before going full time.

TBF he doesn't get everything right, but nobody will. He's still one of the better ones, if not the best around right now.

He was awful.
Normally a good ref but not at it today. The handball against Jay Rod where he would have to guess summed it up for him.

Great game apart from missing the blatant penalty and letting Billing off a card despite his constant fouls.

Missed a lot. The whole ground saw the handball which was a clear pen. Let it go to the other end and B'muff score, before rescue from VAR.
There were other things too.

Was it a clear pen?
To be honest, I thought the one earlier was more clear cut than the one we actually got.
VAR is rescuing refs, that much I’ll grant you. It’s almost at the point where they don’t have to do anything at all because they will be rescued by the three in the box.

Did his best to keep his cards in his pocket but what has Jeff Hendrick got between his ears?
That’s a couple of games he’s bought a late booking for no apparent reason.
