Not a goal to be had in 7 championship games.
6 of them well past 20 mins.
Probable need a calculator at full time.

Wonder what the odds are of getting to HT without a goal in 7 championship games.

Can't get Vipbox or Hesgoal tonight. Is it just me or are others having the same problem?
C'mon Big Sam. Wouldn't you just love it if he got the winner at Deadwood?

Real Madrid 1 City 0 against the run of play. City playing tip tap in midfield and give ball away. City been best team in second half.

Amazingly they managed to convert the said spot-kick for once, hell of a result if they hold on,you sense they're on a mission to prove a point.

Imagine if City won the trophy and were banned from defending it.
Wow, that would be something.

In theory whether they win the trophy or not should have no impact on their appeal, however it would be naive not to think that it would be problematic for UEFA to expel their reigning champions from the competition.

Not sure tonight’s result helps us. City may be able to rest a few players in the second leg and therefore play a strong side against us.

With VAR (Vydra and Rodders) we might not need them to.

They might but their squad is deep so it'll still be a challenge to get a result at the Etihad, the bigger concern for Pep will be Laporte's injury,if he's absent for a lengthy period their defence will be vulnerable again.

Pep will be planning for the Burnley game right now, that will be tougher for them than Real Madrid game at the Etihad.

VC maybe what I am meaning is that they can afford to use a similar line up to tonight (more defensive) in the second leg and therefore go more attacking (Aguero for one) against us 3 days earlier.

That Mendy...what is he for?
Built like a tank...complete with the tracking!
Neither defends nor has any pace to get forward.
Very odd, pointless player!
Is he someone's friend?

It'll still be tough for us no matter who they play, but there is no way Pep will want Ben Mee clattering De Bruyne - it'll be the likes of Foden I would think that will play

One of the best left backs in the world when he first played for City, 10,000 injuries later and he’s not quite hit the same levels, probably not fully fit yet. Seems a bit stupid to say he’s a pointless player when you’ve probably seen him play once.

I’ve seen him play lots of times and he is awful. Terrible first touch and plays it back or sideways most of the time - even when he has overlapped into a decent position.
His injury was quite a while ago now - but there is little point commenting on how he used to play prior to the injury. Right now he is poor and has been all season.

But for the 'boycott', in all its solidarity, there'd normally be 12,000 locked outside, if rumours in the stable yard were true.
