I've done 1-1, I'm rubbish at predicting, and usually wrong, but would take that all day long. A point anywhere in the prem is a good point imo.

We can be confident enough to go and get a win here, but we must not be complacent. We are a much better team than Newcastle and, in contrast to their indifferent form, our form is red hot.
Go and do the basics of any away result; keep it tight, get the home crowd restless, and take your chances when they come.

No Kate ... because Frank didn't use the immortal word (capitalised) FACT so its not writ in stone

I'm no expert and neither, perhaps, is Charle Nicholas. In his recent attempts at predicting our scores he not only more often than not gets it wrong but doesn't really give the impression that he thinks we are any good. This is probably a case of he doesn't know much about us as we are not Arsenal or Celtic. But as a pundit he should. However he has gone for a 2-1 Newcastle win, let's hope his accuracy doesn't improve.

No doubt we've been in much better form than Newcastle of late (13 points from last 5 games v 5 points from last 5 games) but our season has been one of ups and downs and I'm not sure we can keep up such good form indefinitely.
So, being pessimistic...... 1-1.

If we win though (especially with a clean sheet), 40 points after 28 games would be a huge achievement & really set us up for the home game v Spuds next week. It'd also be amusing to see the Toon fans reaction to 3 losses in a row.

very bad ground for us to win at all though we have had big gaps and its only about 6 to 8 times we have played them their since our last win in the seventies 1976 8th time of asking should be due a win and hopefully i will be there to see it tomorrow

Slightly off topic:

News tonight that the government is considering more widespread restrictions, because of Covid-19, including possibly postponing or cancelling sporting fixtures.

Obviously the health of people comes first but it will be interesting if the football season ends early, to see what happens to league positions etc.. Will we have a 'Pools panel' type scenario, deciding unplayed games? That would cause some arguments especially where promotion and relegation is concerned.

That's a possibility of course. Let's hope neither scenario plays out.

First goal will be vital,if they get it they'll try and shut up shop,if we get it their fans could turn quickly,there's already unrest with Ashley's ownership.
