Hey Boss, Waynes one liner in that scene was considered so badly delivered that the director demanded he put some 'awe' into his voice. Wayne then said 'Awe, surely this man was the son of god'.
Well I thought it was funny.

By the way Boss - Escape to Victory??? Really??? That was a truly dreadful film. Sly Stallone trying to play football and Bobby Moore trying to act - and that was only part of it. Apparently most of the Ipswich team figured in it at some point. Why bloody Ipswich. And Pele shouldn't have touched with a bargepole. His credibility went south after that.

Hi all. First post. I thought he'd passed away years ago tbh! He certainly had a rough paper round as a lad as I thought he looked 90 years ago. No disrespect meant. Fond memories of him down the years in movie parts.

They were okay ? They were runners-up to Villa in the League and won the UEFA Cup so aye not too bad ...but then again I don't think Bob Paisley knew one of the casting team but Bobby Robson did

Ha ha. When was that film anyway bud - I thought it was long after Robson's reign there.
