We've beaten Bradford City in a friendly

I wondered why we'd been stopped from attending today's U18 game - seems it was because the first team were playing a behind closed doors game against Bradford City.

We won 3-1 with two goals in the last five minutes. No details other than Aaron Lennon & Ashley Barnes were playing.

Be interesting to know who played in time. Bit of match fitness for the fringe players and those coming back from injury.

The Athletic article on Defour made reference to there being a "Burnley rule" that players recovering from injury should play three 90 minute games for the under 23s or behind closed doors games.

I wonder whether this was partly for Barnes' benefit.

Can't complain about his work rate Boss, unlike a certain reserve Irish winger who just gives the ball away all the time.

They play these games regularly but rarely reported. This one was reported at the Bradford end.
