Films online for light respite from Corashitstorm

Post by HunterST_BFC » Fri Mar 20, 2020 4:32 am

As the title says.

Add One film per post easy to find online.

To cheer the soul and raise a smile / laugh.

I start with and nominate Peter Sellers - The Party.
Daft dated and not really PC but a good way to pass 1 1/2 hours - the genius Peter Sellers.
Made before I was born! Different times.

In two parts both next to each other.

Enjoy!!!

Please add others .

Keep Safe UTC 8-)

That cheating knut ruined what might have been the best sporting day of my life. Ran a sub 3hr marathon in the morning then went home to watch us progress at the World Cup. I will not be watching.

Okay, it's not a film and it isn't light, but it we could be in this for awhile so a lengthy series is my suggestion.

It's been awhile since I watched it, but I really enjoyed the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series. If I had to describe it I would say that it is similar to Game Of Thrones, but better. Gorgeous production values, lashings of political intrigue, spectacular set pieces and unlike Game Of Thrones it has a good ending. From start to finish it runs a touch over 71 hours, split across 95 episodes.

The downside is that all of the dialogue is in Mandarin. However, I found that added to the thematic element and the subtitles are done well.

The whole series is available on Youtube

Watch out for Cao Cao, he is not a man to be crossed or swayed from his ambitions. If Cao Cao was a football manager I could see him masterminding Sheffield United. Their winged Phoenix formation is something that his tactical mind could have come up with ( I doubt Chris Wilder calls it that, but it fits ).

Tbf he did have a bit of pace ...and to see him run as well as play a game later in the afternoon truly must have been a memorable day for you... And him. :D
