took it to police station in colne but couldnt gain entry. Rang yorkshire bank and they told me to destroy card, which i have done. I found card outside colne market at around 1-15. This lady may not yet know she has lost card so if anyone knows her please put her mind at rest. utc.

We found a wallet at the Northbound service station on the M5 just after the M50 turn off.
Fascinating putting a picture together of the man 1) hobbies-had receipt for fishing tackle 2) medical problems-copy of prescription 3) bank account-bank card 4) likely occupation-wage slip.
Needed a few phone calls to get his address-no driving license but managed it from employer and his address was off our turn off from M6. We had a small detour to deliver the wallet.
Was a really fascinating detective hunt but he was still away fishing, so only met his wife

I was happy to keep card and deliver back to her but bank said to destroy. I asked bank to contact her but they said thats not what they do ??? so the poor lass will be beside herself for a while which is why it would be good if someone can let her know her savings are safe.

I lost my coat last year and someone who found it, noticed my debit card was in the pocket. He called the bank and the bank contacted me, giving me his address.

This was Santander, so perhaps some banks do, some don't. Or, it depends on the staff member, and whether they can be arsed.

I found a wallet round the garages half way up reynolds street back when i was about 10. It had a HSBC card in so handed the whole thing in there and he called round to mine with some chocs.
